Passages in the Dark: CH 3CHAPTER 3   
    The cold wind swept over the contours of Laura's face as she found herself darting and dodging through pitch blackness. She doesn't remember ever beginning the journey, she didn't know where she was going, either. But she knew she had to run.   
 She looked up as the blood pumped through her body, watching in fear as the gnarled, blackened branches seemed to reach down for her. She was unable to even see the path she was treading - from her knees down, a thick, bluish fog floated across the still earth.

 Bob chanced a glance back at the girl from over his shoulder for a split second. Returning his eyes to the road, the man attempted a conversation. He offered a soft, inward grin before breaking the silence.   
 “At least you won’t have to say goodbye to all your friends, Laura.”   
 Laura dejectedly wiped her eyes; although it was pointless because her tears were still falling. She wrinkled her face a little and glanced out the window. “..Why?”

In reality, I'm a 23 year old sculptor and sheet metal worker with an itch to travel and explore.
